Language Learning In Tbilisi And YOU

Welcome to the blog of the Language Centre. The Language Centre is a business that caters to individuals who want to learn a foreign language. This blog will contain tips, tricks, and other language learning suggestions. Hopefully, in all of the languages taught by the center. The center currently helps students learn: English, Spanish, Russian, Georgian, and French.

Learning a language for some can be difficult. In order to quicken the assimilation of the target language students need and are encouraged to practice.

Ways To Practice

Listening-- If you don't use the language learning may be more difficult. Many students may prefer to begin their language practice by watching a movie or listening to the target language. Often, movies and television shows can be found online. By utilizing all available media resources the student(s) will start to recognize certain words and even phrases automatically. If further clarification is required (like what exactly happened)  the movie or television series can then be watched in the native language of the student.

Thinking -- Try to think in the target language as much as possible. Thinking in the language will help you when you finally begin to speak the language by allowing you to speak freely without worrying about the translation. Thinking in the non-native language may also speed up the learning of the language. Grammar is important, but try not to worry too much about it at first when you don't have the vocabulary to communicate at the basic level. Without proper grammar meaning can be lost. As you grow your vocabulary, also build upon your knowledge of the language's grammar. When you are speaking with native speakers or practicing with someone who already knows the language, you need to pay attention to the grammar. Thinking about grammar rules too early on may hinder your progress by bogging you down. If you want to buy a car, for example, you would not worry about how to turn on the radio before you choose the car you like.

Speaking -- Speaking, especially to native speakers,  helps to correct any flaws. Speaking with a native speaker can help because the learner would be able to hear the proper stress, inflection, and pronunciation of the words. It may also expose the student to a wider range of idioms or slang expressions.
